Weekly Log
« on: March 01, 2008, 01:34:01 PM »
I needed a place to log in and see others successes and challenges.  I read a few topics but then people have left.  So I am hoping we can incourage each other not to give up;

My name is Phyllis and I have been dieting this past year with WW, I started out at 170, I am now down to 158, this was this past Thursday.  I havent gotten the book yet, but I am going by FIRST magazine article and hopefully I am doing this right, I havent lost anything yet but I feel better, must be something to this, LOL!!  This week I havent exercised as I have been sick but I will start again on Monday; my weekly weigh in is on Friday.

Look forward to hearing from ya'll.

Hi Phyllis,
I am new also.  I started by the First article last Mon.  I weighed this morning and had only lost 1 pound.  I got the book yesterday and read the whole thing last night.  I think I was eating too much protein at lunch for one thing.  I have about 45 or 50 pounds to lose.  we will just have to keep each other motivated.  I am 54 and the grandmother of 6.  I can't beleive that!  I still feel like a kid.

Hi Phyllis and Flowerlady
I'm a newbie too!  Week 1, Day 7 4lbs. so far, but the best thing is I feel better than I have in years!!!!
I'm 50, not a grammie yet, Kids are 26, 22 & 16
I absorbed the book in a weekend -- copy from the library since it's taking 2 weeks to get one from Amazon!!!
It helped me to make up a chart to keep in the kitchen, in my purse and in my food journal.
If anyone wants a copy just let me know and I can email it to ya.  Keeping a daily log really helps!
I also got some baggies and pre-measured 5 different snacks and put them in a basket so I can grab them when needed.  This has helped a lot!
Hang in there -- this food plan has made a big difference in my life.  I'm sure it will for you too.
Best, best wishes to you.

Better2no: sounds like you lost 4lbs this week, that is great!!!!

I hope ya'll are doing good, the weekend is approaching and that is my hard time; but this past year I have made some changes mainly because my cholesterol was up.  Will check back with you tomorrow, my offical weigh in moment.  LOL!!

Hugs, phyllis

Hi Phyllis and Flowerlady!
Thanks, 4 lbs. was quite a surprise.
My focus, and what drew me to this diet was serotonin....
I needed to feel better, and if I had a scale to measure that
I'd say I gained a million!  :D  That's the kind of gain you don't mind.
Good luck on that official weigh in........
You know the picture of old fashioned scales with one scale on one side
and one on the other ?
(so different than that dreaded scale we have on the bathroom floor!).....
maybe if we tried to look at that as:  what we were on one side
and what we will be on the other
and think of ALL the benefits this food plan gives (rather than just weight loss)
maybe the scale is moving in a better direction than we realize and
we would not be so afraid of weighing in?  ::)
Just a thought
Best wishes
Lillie

Hey Lillie and Flowerlady:

Well I weighed in today and I am at 156.5 Yeah, a 1.5 lb loss.  So I am grateful!!

How are you girls doing?

Just got back from a dinner with my dh's coworkers and they treated us, it was a surprise as it was their going away thank you to him, which was so nice, and they told him if things dont work out he can come back, which makes life a little more comforting.

Wishing ya'll a great weekend.

Phyllis

Are you keeping a "weekly log"??
